Lost and stray dogs and cats are cared for at the Quilpie Shire Council Animal Pound. Animals cannot be released from the pound unless the appropriate fees are paid and the animal is registered.

Unregistered dogs and cats must be registered at time of release. You will be required to provide staff with proof of identity prior to the rescued pets being released to you.
