Education Bursary
The Bursary program is an initiative of the Quilpie Shire Council. It provides an exciting opportunity for residents aged under 25 years living within the Quilpie Shire to undertake training or study, which may have previously seemed unattainable. The program is about enhancing opportunities for young people and ultimately improving the quality of life for all in South West Queensland.
This program promotes the potential of our young shire residents, by giving them a unique opportunity to further their education and skills. The program is open to residents under 25 years and may be used for study or training in any chosen field. The Student Bursary may be offered for up to $5,000.00 a year for a maximum of two years.
To be eligible for this Bursary Program you must be: - A resident of the Quilpie Shire aged under 25 - Not be a past recipient of a Quilpie Shire Bursary - Apply as an individual (in exceptional circumstances, consideration may be given to joint applications).
Applications for a bursary will be evaluated on the basis of: - Potential of the applicant’s training or study to benefit the Quilpie Shire and / or regional community. - Personal ability of the applicant to complete the training or study and excel in their chosen field. - Likelihood of the applicant being able to complete the training or study without Quilpie Shire Bursary assistance.
If you need a hand to realise your dream of achievement, yet lack the resources to fulfil that dream, please contact Monica at the Quilpie Shire Council.
