AERODROME The aerodrome has an area of 128.7 hectares and is operated by the Council. The aerodrome could be classed as all weather as only a few occasions have planes been unable to land, because of the low ceiling caused by dust storms. The Quilpie Aerodrome has a PCN rating of 15 with a length of 1500m and a width of 30m. Weather measuring instruments are located at the Airport and these weather readings are recorded with the Bureau of Meteorology. Eromanga, Adavale, Toompine and Cheepie all have dirt airstrips.
CARAVAN PARK In 1983 the L.R. McManus Caravan Park was opened. It was named after a long serving Councillor and local business man Councillor L.R.McManus.
